Science Experiment

Today we used a straw to see what happens when we put it into the water and block one side of the hole, then taking our thumb off .  




The water came out of the straw all at once when we took our thumb off the hole!

Today we matched our stars with the sisters' names. 




Did you know that the biggest / eldest star is called Matariki?

We love playing with balloons and today we blew up a balloon and let it go to see what happens.



It made a funny noise and fluttered around the air.

First step to write procedural writing!

People write for a range of purpose and procedural writing is a way to help people make or create something. This could be a recipe!

Before writing, we were given the opportunity to explore different types of procedural writing.
We figured that it is very important to have a title, subtitles for ingredients/equipments, and method in a procedural writing.
